Brazos Bluebonnet Quilt Guild Bees updates:

The Happy Scrappers are working on individual projects. We were so pleased to have Sue Sprott join us at one of our January meetings. Some of our members are working on both the 2018 and 2019 donation quilts for the guild. We've seen the beginnings of these quilts, and they are beautiful!
The Material Girls are busy with all kinds of projects as well as things to laugh over at bee meetings. They include not only quilting, but sewing, embroidery, knitting and sharing. Many of us will be 'on the road' this year, visiting family & friends, but always return with new projects and stories to share!
The Thimblebees are busy working on individual projects and gearing up for the February Retreat in LaGrange! We look forward to participating in various guild activities as time & health allow.

The Quilt 'n Peace bee is a mission-oriented group that generally concentrate on care quilts. Wewill do a personal project, per quarter, led by Rowena R. In February Soldier Squares will be made. A shopping trip usually takes place every fifth Tuesday. Some members participate in an annual mission trip to LaSara, TX where quilting is taught. The bee supplies all fabric & materials for this effort - we have benefitted greatly from the contributions of many BBQG members. Our bee is a lot of fun and open to anyone who would care to join us.
We started off 2017 in grand fashion by contributing 23 care quilts to the Guild. Thanks to Connie H. who used the plethora of telecasted 'bowl games' to piece and quilt over half of the quilts. Our second meeting this year was devoted to making individual mesh bags.
The Praying Piecers bee is currently finishing a quilt for the next Habitat for Humanity house to be built in Franklin.

The Out of the Box bee is an art quilts group that meets in various locations.
The Quilts of Valor bee is open to anyone who likes to sew. Our purpose is to make Quilts of Valor for local veterans. Bring your sewing machine and basic sewing supplies.

Contact with other quilters and the exchange of ideas and similar interests is only one of the advantages of taking part in a sewing bee! Contact our 'Bee Keeper', Jane Riggs for further information.
